The Hub now hosts a small shop with local peoples crafts and products for sale.
Handmade@theHub is placed in the library snug space and plays hosts to local peoples products.
There are a selection of face masks from Clooties, candles and wax melts from Rys waxes and much much more.
Why not pick up a handmade blanket for someone you love to keep them cosy this winter. Or grab a sweet treat on the go with homemade tablet.

Cafe@45 Reopens
The easing of Lockdown in Scotland has allowed Cafe@45 to reopen its doors.
Although the Cafe has a slightly different look, you are still guaranteed the same delightful home baking, homemade soups and sandwiches and Lunch specials such as Mac and Cheese or Haddock and chips.
The cafe now utilises the space in the sports hall to allow 2 metres distance between each table. There are sanitising stations throughout and a one way system to keep everyone safer and at a distance.

Ochiltree Hub and Cafe@45 Closure
Due to the current government guidelines, Ochiltree Hub and Cafe@45 will be closed for normal business for the coming weeks. This decision has been made to help protect customers, volunteers and staff at this time.
The Hub is currently looking at establishing a takeaway service and will be working with the Mutual Aid group within the village to support the communities needs at this time.

Ochiltree Hub Nominated in RICS awards
The Royal Institution for Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has shortlisted 35 of the country’s most impactful construction projects for its prestigious Social Impact Awards in Scotland. The awards recognise the built environment's positive and transformational contribution to society. Ochiltree Community Hub are delighted to be shortlisted for the RICS Social impact Awards.
The projects will be judged and voted on by an expert panel of RICS members and other experts based on their role in transforming communities and the everyday lives of people.
The awards are divided into nine award categories to include the best examples of development in the commercial, education, healthcare, heritage, infrastructure, land & rural, leisure, residential and student accommodation sectors – with an overall winner also due to be announced.
The Hub looks forward to welcoming the judging panel to the village in the coming weeks. Ochiltree Hub Manager Kirsty Fowler commented " It is fantastic to be shortlisted in a category that recognises the commitment made by the community for the community. Making a positive impact on the local community is what drives the staff and volunteers on a daily basis. The engagement from the local community has been fantastic to date and seeing the great impact the Hub has on a daily basis is brilliant."

7th Annual Scottish Property Awards Brings Silverware to Ochiltree
High quality work to improve Scotland’s urban environment has been recognised at the 7th annual Scottish Property Awards with winners revealed at a sold-out event held in Edinburgh last week.
Ochiltree Hub missed out on the nominated award of Regeneration Project of the year to Red Tree Magenta of Rutherglen however th Hub was deemed to be an inspirational project by the judging panel and was awarded the Judges Award for Excellence.
Trustees Alex Baird and Tom McAllister attended the evening on behalf of Ochiltree Community Hub. Alex commented "Although disappointed to not come away with the Regeneration project award we are exceptionally proud and humbled to have been awarded the Award for Excellence. A huge thanks must go to the staff and volunteers and to those in the community that believe in the project and continue to support us."
